Mascarpone Havarti Cheese Ball

½ cup (125 mL) Tre Stelle® Mascarpone
2 cups (500 mL) Dofino® Havarti Cheese, shredded
½ cup (125 mL) sour cream
¼ cup (50 mL) green onion, chopped
2 tbsp (30 mL) Dijon-style mustard
1 tbsp (15 mL) horseradish
1 tsp (5 mL) crushed red chili flakes, if desired

Garnish
1 cup (250 mL) sliced hazelnuts or fresh parsley, chopped finely

 

In a medium bowl add all ingredients and stir until smooth. Taste and add extra seasoning and chili flakes if desired. Refrigerate mixture until firm – approximately 1 hour. Remove from refrigerator and shape into a ball. Roll ball in sliced hazelnuts or chopped parsley. Alternatively roll into 1” balls and roll in a variety of garnishes (poppy seeds, black pepper, chopped mixed herbs or nuts) and served as a cocktail size appetizer.

Makes approximately 10 -12 servings
