Which ones? You bet! I like nearly all the cheeses except those with veining. But I especially like the cheeses that are soft. The butter cheeses are a particular favourite. And I just LOVE Ricotta. What caused the shift? When I was growing up, all I was exposed to at home were Velveeta, yellow/orange cheese slices and Cheese Whiz. That was the only kind I liked. When I 'met' the real world of cheese, it took me quite a while to develop a taste for them, but I really do prefer them. - L. Peters, Alberta Do you enjoy different cheese today than 5-10 years ago? Cheese tasted like soap to me and that lasted until I was 18. My passion with cheese started with the grilled cheese sandwich and as each year rolled over I began to love more and more of the different cheeses on the market. Today my taste in cheese is different then 5-10 years ago and in a year my favorite cheese will probably change. Which ones? Blue cheese, Asiago, Parmesan, What caused the shift? I believe that as you age your palate becomes more refined and you begin to enjoy the stronger flavours of the world. - Rose Jorundson, British Columbia |
